Topic: Museum Visitor Information

MuseumGuide: Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Westford Museum. I will give you some visitor information before you begin looking around.

MuseumGuide: The museum opens at 9:30 on weekdays. At weekends we open later, at 10:00, but from Monday to Friday visitors may enter from half past nine.

MuseumGuide: There are four main public floors. The temporary exhibition is on the ground floor, the history gallery is on the first floor, and the science gallery is on the second floor.

MuseumGuide: If you want to join a guided tour, please do not wait near reception. Tickets are checked at reception, but guided tours begin near the information desk.

MuseumGuide: There are two guided tours each day. The morning tour starts at 11:00, and the afternoon tour starts at 2:15. The afternoon tour is usually quieter.

MuseumGuide: Ticket prices are displayed near the entrance. Adult tickets cost 12 pounds. Students pay less with a valid card, and children under five enter free.

MuseumGuide: Please remember that large bags are not allowed in the galleries. You should leave them in the cloakroom before you start your visit.

MuseumGuide: Photography is allowed in most areas, but not in the painting gallery. This rule protects some of the older works, so please keep cameras away in that room.

MuseumGuide: If you need a break, the cafe is on the ground floor next to the garden. It serves drinks and sandwiches throughout the day.
