Day 26 IELTS Listening Practice - Section 1
Topic: House Cleaning Service Booking
Agent: Good morning. Bright Home Cleaning. How can I help you?
Customer: Hello. I would like to book a cleaning service for my flat.
Agent: Certainly. Are you looking for regular cleaning or deep cleaning?
Customer: I thought regular cleaning would be enough, but I need the kitchen and bathroom cleaned properly, so deep cleaning is better.
Agent: Deep cleaning. I can arrange that.
Customer: Thank you.
Agent: Which date would you like?
Customer: Is Monday the twenty-first of December available?
Agent: Monday the twenty-first is fully booked. We have Tuesday the twenty-second of December.
Customer: Tuesday the twenty-second is fine.
Agent: We can arrive at nine o'clock.
Customer: I have a school drop-off at nine, so that is a little early.
Agent: In that case, we can arrive at half past nine.
Customer: 9:30 works well.
Agent: How many bedrooms are in the flat?
Customer: Two bedrooms and a small study.
Agent: Should I list it as two bedrooms?
Customer: No, please list it as three bedrooms because the study also needs cleaning.
Agent: Three bedrooms. The price for two bedrooms is 85 pounds, but for three bedrooms it is 95 pounds.
Customer: 95 pounds is fine.
Agent: May I have your surname?
Customer: It is Khan.
Agent: Could you spell that, please?
Customer: K H A N.
Agent: Thank you. What is the address?
Customer: 18 Maple Street.
Agent: Did you say 18 Market Street?
Customer: No, Maple Street. M A P L E.
Agent: 18 Maple Street. Thank you. If no one is home, where should the cleaners find the key?
Customer: I was going to leave it under the mat, but that is too visible. I will leave it under the plant near the door.
Agent: Under the plant.
Customer: Yes.
Agent: Could I take your phone number?
Customer: It is zero seven five four eight, three zero two, seven one nine.
Agent: Let me repeat that: 07548 302 719.
Customer: Correct.
Agent: Your booking reference is C five eight one four.
Customer: C5814?
Agent: Yes. Please keep that reference if you need to change the booking.
Customer: I will. Thank you.
Agent: You are welcome. Goodbye.
Customer: Goodbye.
For service bookings, the first service, date, time, or price may change. Write only the final confirmed detail.
