Topic: Train Ticket Booking
Clerk: Good morning. City rail booking office. How can I help?
Customer: Hello. I would like to book a return ticket for next week.
Clerk: Certainly. Where would you like to travel to?
Customer: I need to go to Brighton, please.
Clerk: Brighton. Is that for a day trip or an overnight stay?
Customer: Just a day trip.
Clerk: What date would you like to travel?
Customer: The eighteenth of June.
Clerk: The eighteenth of June. There is a train at quarter past nine.
Customer: That sounds good.
Clerk: Let me check. Sorry, that train is already full. The next available train leaves at quarter to ten.
Customer: Quarter to ten, so 9:45?
Clerk: Yes, 9:45. Would you like to come back in the afternoon or evening?
Customer: Around five o'clock if possible.
Clerk: There is a return train at 16:50, but it is more expensive. The off-peak return leaves at 17:20.
Customer: I will take the off-peak return at 17:20.
Clerk: Fine. The ticket type is off-peak return.
Customer: Which platform does the morning train leave from?
Clerk: It usually leaves from platform 5, but because of engineering work next week, it will leave from platform 6.
