Topic: Booking an Evening English Course
Receptionist: Good morning. Northbridge Community Centre. How can I help you?
Student: Good morning. I am calling about the evening English courses. I saw a notice online, but I need some more information.
Receptionist: Of course. Are you interested in general English or exam preparation?
Student: Exam preparation, please. I want to prepare for IELTS.
Receptionist: We have an IELTS foundation class on Monday and Wednesday evenings. The class starts at six fifteen and finishes at seven forty-five.
Student: That sounds possible. When does the next course begin?
Receptionist: The next course begins on the third of June. It runs for eight weeks.
Student: Okay. And where is the class held?
Receptionist: It is in Room 14, on the first floor of the community centre.
Student: Is the teacher a native English speaker?
Receptionist: The teacher is bilingual, but she has taught IELTS for more than ten years. Her name is Sarah Collins.
Student: Could you spell the surname, please?
Receptionist: Yes. It is C O double L I N S.
Student: Thank you. How many students are usually in the class?
Receptionist: We keep the group small. The maximum number is twelve students.
Student: Good. I think smaller classes are better. How much is the course?
Receptionist: The full course is one hundred and eighty pounds. That includes printed worksheets, but it does not include the official IELTS test fee.
Student: Can I pay weekly?
Receptionist: You can pay in two parts. The first payment is ninety pounds before the course starts, and the second payment is ninety pounds in week four.
Student: That is fine. Do I need to bring anything on the first day?
Receptionist: Yes. Please bring a notebook, a pen, and a pair of headphones for listening practice.
Student: Headphones. Okay. Is there any homework?
Receptionist: Yes, but it is not too heavy. Students usually do about twenty minutes of homework after each class.
Student: That is okay. I work during the day, so I cannot do too much.
Receptionist: I understand. May I take your details to reserve a place?
Student: Yes, please.
Receptionist: What is your full name?
Student: My name is Ahmed Khan.
Receptionist: Could you spell your family name?
Student: Yes. K H A N.
Receptionist: Thank you. And your phone number?
Student: It is zero seven seven four nine, two one eight, six zero three.
Receptionist: Let me repeat that. Zero seven seven four nine, two one eight, six zero three.
Student: Yes, that is correct.
Receptionist: Finally, what is your email address?
Student: It is ahmed dot khan twenty-six at mail dot com.
Receptionist: Thank you. I have reserved one place for you. Please arrive ten minutes early on the first day.
Student: I will. Thank you for your help.
Receptionist: You are welcome. Goodbye.
Student: Goodbye.
Do not only check correct or incorrect answers. Notice the exact words that gave the answer, the spellings, the numbers, and any corrected information in the conversation.
